According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) healthcare occupations and industries continue to generate the most jobs. They project that healthcare jobs will increase dramatically over the next eight to ten years. These projections do not take into account the many additional healthcare providers that the Veterans Administration must hire under the new VA Health Care legislation including the PACT Act that was passed by Congress and signed by the President.
This new laws budget billions to improve veteran’s care which requires the VA to hire thousands of healthcare specialists including doctors, nurses and other health professionals. The VA has over a thousand staffed facilities, and more offices will be established to better serve our veterans.
Many agencies hire healthcare specialists and professionals, seek out jobs that are best suited to your needs. All federal jobs are advertised through job announcements. Read them thoroughly before applying to ensure you submit all required documentation including a federal resume which differs considerably from a short private sector resume.
